"1812 When Hell Freezes Over." Pre-production starts.

We have officially began the pre-production for our upcoming feature film „1812 When Hell Freezes Over”.

It is a period drama and a thriller, set in the time of Napoleon's Russian campaign.

After a devastating defeat, the Emperor's army, starving, freezing and decimated, is retreating from Moscow, during the formiddable Russian Winter.

A small unit of Polish lancers, sent on a desperate scouting mission, to find food, separates from the rest of the marouding troops.

Having found nothing, they are accidentally met by private Grabinski - another lost cavalryman, who claims to be the sole survivor of an expedition, meant to bring important correspondence to the remaining army's headquarters. Orders that might be crucial to the rest of the campaign.

Grabinski convinces Leutenant Duszynski, in charge of the squad, to help him on his way to deliver the letters, in spite of the fact that it will take them miles beyond their original route. In return he promises to lead them to a nearby village, where the starving men, are bound to find forage.

Things however do not go according to plan. The enemy Cossack units start closing in on them, while our famished heroes have less and less strength to fight. The permanent exhaustion, the cold and the constant uncertainty, bring back old grudges, and skeletons in the closet, among the soldiers. In such dire circumstances, the group becomes torn apart by internal conflicts, while at the same time, having to act together to survive.

Soon they also realise that their destination is far from what they were hoping for, and that their new companion's mission had a much more sinister side to it. Dark secrets reveal themselves, one of which is now involuntarily shared by the Leutenant.

Soon enough, some of the soldiers, start dying unexplained deaths.

To survive and return home, each of the remaining men, must put his humanity, dignity and courage to the test, but mostly face his own inner demons, which are far more frightening, than their enemies, and the grim winter cold.
